In one of his publications on Facebook Atoyebi Stephen widely known as Skat Praise concluded that “Jesus is not the way”.
Many people search endlessly for direction books, philosophies, spiritual guides all in the hope of finding a path to peace, fulfillment, or eternal life. But Jesus shatters that search with a bold declaration: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Notice what He didn’t say. He didn’t say, “I know the way,” as if He merely holds a secret map. He didn’t say, “I can show you the way,” like a wise teacher pointing to a distant road. He said, “I am the Way.” He is not a signpost He is the road itself. This changes everything.
Salvation isn’t about climbing a spiritual ladder or following a set of steps. It’s about stepping into a relationship with the One who is both the path and the destination. The cross became the bridge, and His resurrection proves that the Way is alive and victorious. To follow Jesus is not simply to imitate a moral example; it is to abide in Him. He is the route when we feel lost, the light when darkness closes in, and the door that leads straight into the Father’s presence. When you walk with Him, every step whether joyful or painful is already part of the journey home. So stop striving to “find yourself,” or to carve out your own route to God. Surrender to Christ. Trust His leading.
When Jesus holds your life, you are not merely on the right path you are held by the Way Himself. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:6
The summary of the entire epistle is JESUS DOESN’T KNOW THE WAY, HE HIMSELF IS THE WAY.
