Christianah Idowu was declared missing on August 19, 2024, after her parents received a distressing call from her abductor, who demanded a ransom and sent distressing photos of her in captivity via WhatsApp. Despite the valiant efforts of her parents, who raised N350,000 in response to the abductor’s N1,500,000 demand, tragedy struck when investigations led to the arrest of Adeleye Ayomide, a 200-level student of OOU Philosophy and a close friend of Christianah.
